Proton is the national car company which was formed primary to enable our country Malaysia the chance of producing cars which include engines.

I basically “growing up” with Proton.

I remembered the contest which asking the people to submit the name for the first proton car.

It’s eventual name as “Proton Saga”, word saga is from a tree which gave the meaning of tough and strong.

Too bad, Proton was being pampered and the result was demoralizing.

So, after 27 years of the formation of Proton, what have Proton achieve?

The recent production of Proton Inspira generated  many controversies and heatedly debated.

The Rakyat is not buying the idea of innovation in making of Proton Inspira. They are slamming it’s just a change of logo of car despite they are some modifications on the car which basically a Mitsubishi lancer.

BUT, they are going to buy the car.  Why? Because the government policy is still being enforced which mean Proton Inspira had the advantage of being the cheapest car in the particular category in which we can bought 2.0 lire Proton at merely 90K.

Some time things doesn’t seem to change and well, my mom still dislikes Proton.

The meaning of “honest” can be defined as:

  1. Obsolete
    1. held in respect; honorable
    2. respectable, creditable, commendable, seemly, etc.: a generalized epithet of commendation
  2. that will not lie, cheat, or steal; truthful; trustworthy
    1. showing fairness and sincerity; straightforward; free from deceit: an honest effort
    2. gained or earned by fair methods, not by cheating, lying, or stealing: an honest living
  3. being what it seems; genuine; pure: to give honest measure
  4. frank and open: an honest face
  5. Archaic virtuous; chaste

I have highlight 2 and 3.

So what is making an honest living?

examples:

A hawker who woke up from early morning, went to market, preparing fresh ingredients and by early morning, selling fried mee to the customers.

A freshly graduated doctor, have missed the religion holiday for the first time, learning fast from his seniors and learning to make diagnosis and plan of management.

A tax clerk had checked and verify audited account and preparing the tax.

And more and more, if you had noted carefully, many people around us are making honest living. They are our parent, our relatives, our friends and even our rivals and competitors.

What are the opposite of making an honest living?

People who used their position to gain tender of building a health centre and then have no intention of complete it and instead selling to the third-party and in the process earns themselves a good monetary return. The end result is the delaying of the project.

People who using their position to gain millions of money and build themselves a Bali-style mega bungalow.

People who using political influence to avoid prosecution and to cover up their corrupt practices.

AND frankly speaking, this group of people who were not making honest living are the corrupted politicians and their good business friends and with the friends from the law enforcement and friends from the law and so forth.

I reckon that they are bloody and awfully rich with their money-spoiled children enjoying their ill-gained money.

THEY ARE THIEVES AND THEY ARE JUST RUBBISH OF THE SOCIETY!!

MRCP is an examination for doctors who interested in medicine.

MRCP examination is organized by 3 royal college of physicians.  Their website is http://www.mrcpuk.org

Like thousand of junior doctors who had interest in medicine, I decided to foray into MRCP exam.

I made my first attempt in Jan 2009 with the following preparation.

MRCP part 1 questions published by Pastest and using book by Philip Kalra.t

I failed the first attempt.

My second attempt is in May 2009 and it’s end miserable and also a failure.

The reason is the same and inadequate preparation and damn, I so lack of sleep and i;m sleepy during the 2nd half of exam (the exam is 6 hours long with 1 hour rest in between).

My third attempt in 2010 Jan sitting and I managed to pass the MRCP written part 1.

I contributed to 2 reasons:

Have 2 previous exam experience

And I subscribed the online examination website thus doing thousand of sample questions and past-years questions, and I am not sleepy.

Sometime in 2009 October, I decided to subscribed to Pastest which cost me 199 pound.(it’s worth it)

And from there on, I had attempted almost 1000 plus of examination questions.

I also follow all the online lectures series. I would Dr Philip Kalra who is the consultant nephrologist, give an excellent guide in nephrology topic in MRCP.

So, if you interest in MRCP and have the follow questions and I shall attempt to answer.

Q1: what are the fee of examination  A1: 536 pound per sitting

Q2: When can I take the examination?  A2: After finished 1 year of housemanship or foundation 1

Q3: When is the exam?  A3: There are 3 diet per year.  in Jan, May and September.

Q4: I afraid the MRCP questions ares so difficult, can it be so difficult?

A4: It’s difficult because it is exam to test aspiring physician.  HOWEVER, it’s also an exam only.

Getting familiar with the questions and with adequate clinical and additional readings and practice thousands and learning of questions and therefore, one will pass.

Q5: I’m a doctor and I’m very busy.

A5: I found that whenever I trying questions at Pastest, I learning additional knowledge on the subject. In fact, I found it very good and it’s fitted perfectly into our schedule.

You can tried any Pastest questions during a break in library, in oncall room and Pastest had a free iphone app which basically we can learning and while try the questions.

Q6: I plan to sit for next available exam and i don’t have time

A6: Don’t give yourself excuses. Just enrolled into the next sitting and paid with your credit card. Once you had enrolled the examination, you will find time to study and it’s motivated you.

SO, my message is simple, if you are thinking of taking MRCP examination, well, go to http://www.mrcpuk.org , created an account and applied for the next available exam.

And then subscribe pastest or onexamination and do and do lots of questions and hopefully we passed the MRCP.

Carla Bruni is better known as the first lady of France.

She is a former model and also a singer.

One of her popular song is Quelq’un m’a dit , this song is the only french song found in the soundtrack of (500) days of summer, a heart-breaking love story.

So what is this term “Quelq’un m’a dit” means?

With a little help from my friend, the google translate, which I presumed is pretty correct, it’s mean would somebody told me.

And I’m just let Google translated the song’s lyrics and here is the English version. The lyric is really beautiful.

The Original French version

Intro: A, A, A, A
A                   E             F#m        D
On me dit que nos vies ne valent pas grand chose,
A                    E             F#m        D
Elles passent en un instant comme fanent les roses.
On me dit que le temps qui glisse est un salaud que de nos chagrins il s’en fait
des manteaux pourtant quelqu’un m’a dit…

Refrain
A                        A   E       F#m      D

Que tu m’aimais encore, me l’a t’on vraiment dit…

Refrain
Que tu m’aimais encore,
C’est quelqu’un qui m’a dit que tu m’aimais encore.
Serais ce possible alors ?

Intro: A, A, A, A
A E F # m D
I am told that our lives are not worth much,
A E F # m D
They pass in an instant, like wilting roses.
I was told that the time slips is a bastard as our sorrows, he is
coats But someone told me …

Refrain
A A E F # m D
He is someone who told me you loved me still.

Could that be possible?

They tell me that destiny makes fun of us
It gives us nothing and promises everything we
It seems that happiness is within reach,
So we reach out and find madness
But someone told me …

Refrain
That you still love me,
He is someone who told me you loved me still.
Could that be possible?

But who is it who told me that you love me?
I do remember it was late at night
I still hear the voice, but I do not see the face
“He loves you, it is secret, do not tell him to have said”
You see, someone told me …

That you still loved me someone truly said …
That you still love me, is that possible?

I am told that our lives are not worth much,
They pass in an instant, like wilting roses
I was told that the time slips is a bastard
As our sorrows he cloaks himself,
But someone told me that …

Refrain
That you still love me,
He is someone who told me you loved me still.
Could that be possible?

This a summary of medical history by a patient named Serina Yan who is a member of SHE (taiwan pop group)

A quick googling and I found this piece of journal paper(published in 1999) on this subject.

The paper is based on retrospective study the files of 328 patients with burns >10% body surface area (BSA). They concluded that the development of renal failure had direct relation with the BSA and inhalation injury.

The paper also conclude 2 form of ARF, the early and the late ARF. The early ARF (< 5 days) is  assocaited with incidence of myoglobinuria and hypotension during the resuscitation and late ARF presented sepsis and may due to nephrotoxic antibiotics.
